Apple Slice Rice Cake with Maple Tahini Spread
When you’re in need of a quick post-workout snack, look no further than this simple, tasty Apple Slice Rice Cake with Maple Tahini Spread. It’s filled with complex carbs, healthy fats, protein, and spices, making it the perfect 5-minute prep recovery snack.
Ingredients
For the Rice Cake
1 whole-grain rice cake
1/2 apple sliced
Cinnamon for topping
Maple Tahini Spread
1/2 cup tahini (I LOVE SOOM Tahini)
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
Directions
Combine the Maple Tahini Spread in a small dish. (You’ll have plenty extra to use for more spreading, dipping and drizzling!) Slice your apple pieces. Take one rice cake and spread with 1-2 Tbsp of the Maple Tahini Spread. Top with apple slices and finish with a sprinkling of cinnamon. Enjoy immediately to 30 minutes after a workout for a quick recovery snack.
