The Ultimate Trio Of Sweet Spreads + 15 Ideas For Using Them In Your Biked Goods 🍓🌰🥜

What makes life sweeter than a fresh, homemade spread? Three of them to make the ultimate trio of spreadable goodness.

These 3 spreads are meant to slather on bread, add into oatmeal, or enhance your baked goods. When nutty meets fruity and fruity meets chocolatey. Learn how to make them all in a few simple steps along with 15 ideas for using them in your Biked Goods.

Spiced Cashew Butter

Ingredients

  • 3 cups roasted cashews

  • 3 Tbsp coconut oil, melted

  • 3 Tbsp coconut sugar

  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup or honey

  • 1 tsp ground ginger

  • 2 tsp Cinnamon

  • Sea Salt to taste

  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Directions

In a food processor or high-speed blender add all ingredients.

Process on HIGH for several minutes, adding more oil if needed. Be patient and scrape down sides when needed.

Store in a glass jar or other sealed container in the pantry for 1 month or in the fridge for up to 3 months. It’s easiest to spread when stored at room temp.

Tip: I use a Vitamix and learned it works best to add half the ingredients while blending to get the best consistency in my but butter without the blade getting stuck too often or having the motor overheat.

Strawberry Cardamom and Chia Jam

  • 2 pounds fresh strawberry, halved

  • 1 tsp Coconut oil

  • 1/8 tsp Cardamom

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 Tbsp Chia seeds

  • Sprinkle of coconut sugar (optional)

  • Juice and zest of 1/2 lemon

  • 3-4 Tbsp Water

  • Pinch of sea salt

Directions

Melt oil in a medium-sized saucepan over medium-high heat. Add sliced strawberries, cinnamon, and cardamom. Cool and stir occasionally until the fruit starts to break down and bubble.

Use a spatula or fork to mash strawberries to desired consistency. (You can also throw in a high-speed blender to get it super smooth) Remove pan from heat and add in lemon juice, zest, coconut sugar if using, salt and chia seeds. Stir to combine. If the jam is thick add water by the Tablespoon until it loosens up. Allow the jam to stand for chia seeds to set and cool. About 5-10 minutes.

Give one last stir and enjoy right away or add to sealed mason jar or container and refrigerate up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.

Chocolatey Hazelnut Spread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup roasted hazelnuts

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt

  • 2 Tbsp coconut sugar

  • 1 tsp almond extract

  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips, melted

  • 3 to 4 Tbsp canola, hazelnut oil or other neutral-flavored oil

Directions
Preheat oven to 350° F. Place the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast for 13-15 minutes, or until fragrant. Let cool. Once cool, place a lint-free kitchen towel over the top of the nuts and rub/roll quickly forcing the skins off.

Blend the hazelnuts in a blender or food processor at low speed for 8-10 minutes. Add oil in by the Tbsp until it turns into nut butter and reaches your desired consistency. From there add in the sugar, cocoa powder, salt, melted chocolate chips, almond extract and blend to combine. Pour into sealed mason jar or container and store at room temperature for 2-3 weeks or in the fridge for a longer-lasting spread.
